CHBC Re-Gathering
The church is not a building people meet together in, but a people who gather to worship Jesus Christ as Lord.

To read the details of the CHBC Re-Gathering Plan, please visit this link: CHBC Re-Gathering. This will also take you to a link where you can RSVP for one of the two English-speaking services on Sunday. Your RSVP is only for this Sunday, May 17. We will need to RSVP each week for services until we can Re-Gather without restrictions. You can go directly to the RSVP link here: RSVP for CHBC Re-Gathering.

Sunday School
While CHBC is beginning the process of Re-Gathering for worship on Sundays, we also anxiously await the time that small groups can gather inside the building as well. Sunday School is a vital strategy for teaching the Bible, doing outreach, and ministering to one another. Until the time we can re-group for Sunday School, we will continue to give you material and resources for Sunday School in your home with your family, or others whom you want to invite in to join you.

AWANA Awards Drive-Through Ceremony

Prayer
Spend a moment in prayer now thanking God for the incomparable Christ.

Colossians 1:13-18

13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Quotes from Church History
Charles Spurgeon on Worship: “It is the worship of a child towards a father, feeling within himself a kinship with the divine; it is a worship wrought in us by God the Holy Ghost, because the Father has sought us out and taught us how to worship him. It is a worship which is not outward, but of the inner man, and occupies not hand, eye, and foot, but heart and soul and spirit: and it is a worship which is not professional and formal, but real, hearty, earnest, and so acceptable before God.” Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892, English Baptist Minister, and Pastor of Metropolitan Tabernacle of London)

Discipleship Resource Suggestions from CHBC

main image

CHBC,

While Oklahoma City begins to reopen and we begin CHBC Re-Gathering, many of us will still be spending more time at home. Many will not be commuting, school is mostly finished, and some will still be practicing safer-at-home measures. With the extra time comes the opportunity to spend extra time in Bible study. Use these resources to enhance your personal spiritual growth, and consider bringing neighbors, co-workers, and friends into these studies with you. You could begin meeting in small gatherings in your home, in coffee shops, or through a virtual format like Zoom. Physical distance does not mean social distance, and it definitely does not mean spiritual distance from our Creator and Savior.
