Search Committee

Sunday morning after your Sunday School Group we will gather in the worship center to worship Christ and hear from God through His Word.  Who are you praying for, and who are you inviting to join you in your group or to sit with you in worship.  Following the morning worship service we will vote to select members to serve on our Worship Pastor Search Committee.  The nominees who agreed to serve if elected are: Angie Baird, Casey Miller, Gary Parks, Whitney Steger, and Danny Whitmill.  Please be in prayer for the Lord’s direction as you come to this time together.

Equip Classes

Classes resume this Sunday night.  If you have not already been a part of one of these groups, this would be a good time to start.  The purpose of Equip Classes is to further discipleship in particular areas of life and knowledge, while participating in a smaller learning environment with people from different age groups.  Equip Classes allow our staff to bring teaching to us on a variety of subjects addressed in the Bible, and for different generations to build relationships with one another while benefiting from one another’s life and experiences.  Use this link to read about our classes: Equip.

Second Sunday

If you are a guest to CHBC, each Second Sunday our Senior Pastor is near the coffee station from 9:45-10:10 to greet you and hand you a gift.  Join him there to introduce yourself, or to ask questions about CHBC.  He wants to be able to meet and begin to know you and your family.

The Church Gathered

Sunday mornings we are to be the church gathered.  The New Testament clearly prescribes for the church to be gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, to bring praise to His name, to hear the Bible taught, to encourage one another in love and good deed, and to pray together.  All week long we are the church scattered.  We have responsibilities then too: to be a witness in the world of Christ and His Kingdom; and to be making disciples of our neighbors and nations.  But, on Sunday, we have this tremendous privilege to be called together and not be at church, but be together as the church.  We need each other.  That is why God has put us together.  In wisdom and love He has connected us by conversion and covenant.

Sunday School Strategy Session

March 4 at 5:00 PM!  Sunday School leadership will be meeting this Sunday night.  Equip classes will not meet this week.  Sunday School is such an important church strategy that we are choosing to use the prime evening hour for a time of meeting and training.  We are encouraging everyone who has a leadership role in Sunday School to be present in the Choir Suite at 5 PM.

Online Giving

On January 1, 2018 we began to provide the capability of giving online.  This means you may contribute to the church general budget (your tithe), to the World Missions Offering, or to the Building Fund by using a debit card or electronically transferring from your checking or savings account from our website.  Simply go to the website with this link: CHBC Website.  You can then click on the Give icon at the top of the page, or use this link: Give. You can then select whether you want to use your debit card, or bank routing information.  You are able to schedule regular giving, or give one time gifts.  Of course checks and cash in envelopes in the offering plate will still be received every Sunday morning.  But, many of you may find this a convenient way to make your regular and special contributions to the church.  If you have not already begun to use this feature, I encourage you to set up your giving options this week.  Faithful stewardship is part of being in the body of Christ.  We want to offer you the most convenient way possible to be faithful.  If you have questions please contact Rebekah in the finance office by calling 799-9799, or sending an email to .                                                                          Click here to view Sunday's bulletin in English.                                      Click here to view Sunday's bulletin in Spanish.                                                                                                                                                                  Mark D.
