Pastor Mark's Weekly Update - 9/23/16

Dear CHBC Family and Friends,

This Sunday morning believers will gather into a room to proclaim their own wretchedness before a holy God, leaning solely upon His grace that has forgiven them, sustained them, and made them whole.

They will sing praise to His name and to His work, because of their gratitude toward His mercy. They will pray for His strength, His power, and His glory to be displayed in their lives through the troubles they face and in the victories they have recently been privileged to receive by His gracious hand.

They will listen intently for His voice through the preaching of His word, knowing that it is His will to reveal Himself and they are undeserving to know His name, much less be blessed by His character.

This will happen on the 24 hours of all the Sunday mornings across the entire Earth. Will you be one of them? By God’s grace, I will be. Join me.

Don’t forget that Saturday night, many of you have made reservations to attend our 3^rd Annual Art of Marriage Dinner. I pray nothing hinders you from attending. Good food, good entertainment, and meaningful fellowship has been planned. I am looking forward to spending this time together.

Dear CHBC Family and Friends,

I want to remind you that next Saturday is the Art of Marriage Dinner.  You can sign up and pay on Sunday outside of the Worship Center, or you can call the church office today.  See the flyer below for all of the details. 

I am looking forward to another Sunday of Equipping, Exalting, and Extending as we build Biblically saturated community in Sunday School, as we stir one another on to love and good deeds during the corporate worship gathering, and as we grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord in our Equip Classes.  

3^rd Annual “Art of Marriage” Dinner

Who?

• Married couples of any age
• Soon to be married couples
• Invite your married or engaged friends, neighbors, co-workers, or relatives

What?

• Dinner – Italian
• Musical Entertainment – Greg and Julie Clifford
• Power of Mentoring Relationships
• Cost - $20 (pay at the table in the foyer on Sept. 4, 11, or 18, or at the church office no later than Sept. 18)
• Childcare – at CHBC, by reservation only when you register for the dinner

When?

• Saturday, September 24^th at 6-8 PM

• Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is to be held in honor among all...”
