CHBC Weekly February 26, 2021

CHBC Worship for 2/28/21
The church is not a building people meet together in, but a people who gather to worship Jesus Christ as Lord. The church is built on the foundation of the Lordship of Christ, the Centrality of the Scriptures, and the Glory of God. Why did God in His wisdom devise the establishment of this bride known as the Church? The church has three purposes: to Equip Believers; to Exalt Christ; and to Extend the Gospel. Gospel advance is not an activity the church does, it is a divine mandate. A mandate given to the church – the individuals who make up the local body of Christ. We cannot be satisfied that we are obedient to the Great Commission just because our “church” gives to missions or takes groups on “mission trips”. We should be asking ourselves how we can be more obedient to personally extending the gospel to our neighbors and the nations. We should be encouraging one another in the means and opportunity to be a witness to others, leading them to eternal life. We gather publicly and corporately to give testimony and thanks for our personal and private opportunities in sharing the gospel.

If you are not able to attend in person, then join us for our worship service by live stream through the CHBC Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/chbcokc/.  We are also providing seating in the Activity Center for Sunday School and Worship services, and we are asking that any who attend in the Activity Center wear a face covering.

In the Worship Center we are continuing to seat by physically distancing (seating every other row and leaving a 3-chair gap between family units, as well as taking extra steps in cleaning and sanitizing. You are more than welcome to wear a face covering at all times.

Prayer
Pray for one another to embrace this great commandment. We as a church strive to fulfill the Great Commission, and live by the Great Commandment:

Matthew 22:37-39

37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
