CHBC,
In the newsletter this week you will see a quote from David Brainerd, as well as a link to his biography. David Brainerd died in the home of Jonathan Edwards in 1747, at the age of 29. He lived a short life, but one spent primarily as a missionary to Native Americans during the time of the First Great Awakening. Brainerd died of Tuberculosis. Edwards daughter served as the primary nurse to Brainerd during his last year of life. Edwards daughter caught Tuberculosis from Brainerd, and died a year later. David Brainerd gave his life serving on the mission field. Jerusha Edwards gave her life serving Brainerd. They are buried next to one another. May these resources equip you for how God wants you to spend your life for Him.
