Pastor for Hispanic Ministries

Juan joined the staff as the Associate Pastor for Hispanic Ministry in 2022. Prior to being called to CHBC, he has served as Minister of Missions at Christian Impact in Norwalk, CA. where he worked as a professor and editor of manuals for youth pastors training. He was the co-founder and Associate Pastor, Jesucristo Mi Esperanza Baptist Church, Bolívar in Venezuela. Juan also served as Vice-President and President of the National Baptist Youth Union of Venezuela (UNBJ), President of the Baptist Youth Association of the Guayana Region in Venezuela. He is also the Co-founder, Coordinator of several different ministries (Evangelism, Service, Youth, Worship) and Associate Pastor, Sol de Justicia Baptist Church, Bolívar, Venezuela. Juan received a Certificate of Pastoral Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary/Spurgeon College. He has a Bachelor of Theology from the Latin American University Institute of Theology. Venezuela Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Los Andes University. Venezuela Postgraduate and Specialization in Project Management, Andrés Bello Catholic University. Juan is applying to study a Master of Theological Studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Juan has been married to his wife, Mayda for 34 years. They have three children, Mayler Andreina, Johanna Sarai and David Leroy. Juan enjoys playing the piano, volleyball, watching sports, as well as enjoying nature and God's creation. His favorite passage of Scripture is Job 11:13-19.
