Juan Panfil
Pastor for Hispanic Ministries
Juan joined the staff as the Associate Pastor for Hispanic Ministry in 2022. Prior to being called to CHBC, he has served as Minister of Missions at Christian Impact in Norwalk, CA. where he worked as a professor and editor of manuals for youth pastors training. In Venezuela, he was Planter and Associate Pastor of Jesucristo Mi Esperanza Baptist Church. He was also Planter, Coordinator of several different ministries (Evangelism, Service, Worship) and Associate Youth Pastor of Sol de Justicia Baptist Church. Juan also served as Vice-President and President of the National Baptist Youth Union of Venezuela (UNBJ), and President of the Baptist Youth Association of the Guayana Region. Juan received a Certificate of Pastoral Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary/Spurgeon College. He has a Bachelor of Theology from the Latin American University Institute of Theology. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Los Andes University. Postgraduate in Project Management, from Andrés Bello Catholic University. Juan is applying to study a Master of Theological Studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Juan has been married to his wife, Mayda for 34 years. They have three children, Mayler Andreina, Johanna Sarai and David Leroy. Juan enjoys playing the piano, volleyball, watching sports, as well as enjoying nature and God's creation. His favorite passage of Scripture is Job 11:13-19.
