As we come to the close of 2025 I want to remind you of the opportunity to help CHBC complete the Vision Forward Part 1 giving campaign. We introduced this campaign to the church in April of this year with the goal of raising $150,000 apart from our normal tithes and offerings. Our Buildings and Grounds Team, along with staff, and our Budget and Finance Committee had identified several key projects that the church should address before considering any future building opportunities.
We anticipate hearing about a long range plan in 2026 that would start CHBC on a path to expand Student Ministry space, enhance Children’s Ministry space, provide additional occasional use/fellowship space, and provide additional all purpose education space. This is why the Vision Forward Part 1 campaign was launched so that we could adequately take care of our facilities as they exist, prior to any proposed expansion.
Vision Forward Part 1 includes the following goals:
- HVAC Units - $60,000
- Solomon’s Porch Flooring/Updates - $30,000
- Exterior Signage - $20,000
- Interior Painting - $15,000
- Other - $25,000 (Lawn Mower, Scissor Lift, Landscaping, Parking Lot Striping)
Because we have already raised $99,000, we have been able to purchase the new lawn mower and scissor lift. We have also been able to complete the flooring updates in Solomon’s Porch. A company has been engaged to begin striping our parking lot as soon as they can put us on their schedule. We have engaged a sign company to provide bids for the exterior signage and expect to be under contract shortly for that work to begin. The signage will include the new logo over the main entrance, a completed renovated monument sign at the street, and directional signage on our light poles in the north and east parking lots to help people navigate the parking lot. We will begin securing bids for interior painting in January 2026. Some landscaping needs will be taken care of after the winter. Updating our oldest HVAC units will be scheduled as soon as the goal has been reached.
