The Library and Bookstall exists to assist the pastors of Capitol Hill in equipping the church to exalt Christ, extend the gospel, and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
LIbrary check-out policies
Anyone may check out a book from the library after our librarian enters your name, phone, and email address into our patron system.
- Each patron may check out 5 items at a time
- Resources may be checked out for two weeks at a time
- Patrons may re-new their check-out twice.
- Fines for late returns begin to accrue after a 7-day grace period at a rate of 5¢ per item per day. Fines go toward purchase of new library resources. All fines and charges for lost or overdue items are on an as you can afford basis, so please talk to a library worker if you have trouble paying.
NEED TO KNOW WHICH BOOKS YOU HAVE CHECKED OUT?
To see which books you have checked out and their due dates: go to the online catalog, click on the "patron" icon at the top right of the screen, and type in your Patron ID number.
Our bookstall stocks a limited selection of books that are recommended by our pastors and that various ministries in the church are currently studying. Books are made available at a discount and all monies received go to replenish the bookshelves.
Hours of operation
Sundays: 11:30 am - 12:15 pm
Wednesdays: 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Donations to the library are always welcome. However, the pastors will be very selective when deciding which titles go on the shelves. Donations must be in excellent condition. All unused donations will be discarded or donated elsewhere.
If you would like to purchase new (or used books in "excellent" condition) for the library, please choose from the acquisition list provided below. Please note that monetary donations are preferred because of the church's ability to purchase books at low cost.
