The Mission of CHBC – The Glory of God

The church is not a building people meet together in, but a people who gather to worship Jesus Christ as Lord. The Church is God’s plan to display His glory to the world, and to the rulers of darkness. Ephesians 2:14. He established the church through the glory of the resurrected Son, in order to spread His glory to the ends of earth before Jesus Christ returns in glory. This is why we say, “CHBC exists for the glory of God.”

Platform Remodel

When you are worshipping on Sunday you will notice that the platform is still undergoing an expansion. This is to allow more space for the choir, orchestra, and band to all be on the platform, as well as provide a more flexible area for other worship events. While most of the carpentry work is complete, we are waiting for the final work of the electrician, AVL installments, delivery of choir risers, and installation of the carpet throughout the worship center. Thank you for your patience as await the completion of this project.

CrossTimbers – Children’s Camp

This children’s camp is for children who will have completed the 3rd-6th grade at the end of this school term. The dates are June 20-23. There are only a few beds left. Please contact Mrs. Cheryl, Director for Preschool and Children’s Ministries at , or visit the website at: CrossTimbers Registration.

Aaron Project – Prayer Partner Brunch

May 7, 8:30 – 10 AM. If you signed up to be an Aaron Project Prayer Partner for one of our redeemED educators, then you need to plan to be a part of the Aaron Project Prayer Partner Brunch. This will be the time and place to meet the administrator, faculty, or staff member you have been praying for. You need to RSVP using this link: Aaron Project Prayer Partner Brunch.

VBS Leader Training – Come and Go Event

If you are a member of CHBC and would like to serve in VBS, please make plans for the VBS Leader Training on April 24. This will be a come and go style training opportunity to get you ready for another great VBS. The come and go times are 4-5 PM on April 24 and 6-7 PM on April 24. VBS is June 6-10.

Scripture of the Month

Lamentations 3:22-23, “The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Each week CHBC says aloud a passage of Scripture during our morning worship gathering. This is done for two reasons. First, we are commanded in Scripture to encourage one another with the Word of God. Second, we want to emphasize the spiritual discipline of Scripture memory. Receive a text to your phone with this verse set to music by texting the word “CHBCVERSE” to the number (302) 207-SONG (7664).

A Moment in Church History

On April 22, 1922, Wadiei opens a Christian school in Nigeria, and this blossoms into a community of farming, churches, and a hospital. Learn more about what happened on this date in church history by following this link: Today in Church History.

Thank God today for eternal life through the resurrection of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

“Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”
