Update for CHBC Re: OKC's Mask Ordinance
Dear CHBC Family and Friends,
Yesterday in a special session of the OKC City Council there was a vote to impose a Mask Ordinance for Oklahoma City. You can read the official ordinance here: OKC Mask Ordinance. What is important to note for worship tomorrow is the ordinance includes this exception: “persons attending any indoor religious service or ceremony as long as all persons who do not live in the same household are social distancing from one another, meaning not less than 6 feet apart.”
If you are attending worship tomorrow please enter and exit the building spacing yourself appropriately, and remember that our seating is every other row, and persons not attending from the same household should leave a 3-chair gap between themselves or their household, and the next person or household. While walking or waiting to enter please allow a distance of six feet between yourselves and others. Please use your own personal choice and discretion in whether you wear a mask to worship. We want all worshippers to feel comfortable attending under their own convictions of whether or not to utilize a mask or face shield. You may also choose to worship with us online at the CHBC Facebook page.
We will continue to monitor and evaluate what are our best practices for Sunday and Wednesday worship and activities. Thank you for your prayer and continued support and involvement as we navigate these difficult situations.
