Communication
Communication is tricky. It’s always been hard. Think letters, pony express, wire cables, and life before a cell phone! We desire to communicate with you, the church, as effectively as possible. This weekly email, our website, our Sunday AM bulletin, the Facebook page and our Twitter account are the primary ways for you to get the best information about life in the body at CHBC. Make sure the church office has your best email address and current cell phone numbers. If we don’t we cannot communicate efficiently.

Mother’s Day
Sunday morning we will honor the role of motherhood. But, we will also think more broadly in our sermon about spiritual parentage, or disciple-making. Join us, bring a friend, or invite someone to sit with you that has made a lasting spiritual impact in your life.

Capitol Hill Baptist Church

We are CHBC.  We are not a location.  We are not a building.  We are not a series of programs or events.  We are the church.  We have been the church scattered this week.  Sunday, let’s be the church gathered.  And while together share with one another how you have been the hands and feet of Jesus in your homes, in your offices, on sports fields, and in coffees shops.  Do not be afraid to also talk about how you failed to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  This is why He has died.  He does not love us less as we sin.  He loved us while we were yet sinners.  This is why we gather.  To celebrate what we have seen Him do through us, and to encourage one another where we have been less than we desire to be through Him.

Senior Recognition Sunday

CHBC has a long standing tradition of honoring special moments in the lives of its members.  One of those is in recognizing the accomplishment of completing High School.  Join us this Sunday as we honor the Senior Class of 2018 from our Student Ministry.  We also want to acknowledge those who will be completing degrees from colleges, universities, or trade schools. 

Members’ Meeting

Sunday night at 5 PM we will have our 1^st Quarter Members’ Meeting.  During this time we celebrate the work of God among us as we put in action the practice of church governance by the congregation.  We will hear reports from ministries and initiatives of CHBC, and think together about God’s plans for us.  Members of CHBC should desire to be present and experience these important meetings.
