What is God’s Vision for CHBC?
3 Piers, 3 Pillars, and 3 Purposes define how CHBC sees its founding and function. The 3 Piers are the things upon which we focus as our founding. The Centrality of the Scripture, the Lordship of Christ, and the Glory of God. We want to view the church not as a manmade institution to meet the needs of men and women. We want to keep our focus on the truth that the church is the community of God’s elect established for the purpose of equipping His followers, caring for His sons and daughters, and spreading the hope of the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Falls Creek Youth Camp – July 10-15
Youth camp is for students who have completed 7th-12 grade. The cost is $150 per student. Second and third child discounts may be applied. See the website for details or to register: Falls Creek

Utah Mission Trip – July 7-15
CHBC will be sending 15 people to Panguitch, Utah to assist a sister Baptist Church, Valley Christian Fellowship, with VBS and a building project. This area of the USA is heavily influenced by the false religion of Mormonism. This is a great opportunity for CHBC to encourage another church in the cause of the gospel. Be in prayer for our mission team to Utah.

RedeemED – July 24, 11 AM – 1 PM
RedeemED is region wide luncheon to encourage and equip educators. Administrators, staff, and faculty for public, private, and home school are all invited to register and attend this annual event created, hosted, and sponsored by Capitol Hill Baptist Church. The event will be held in the Activity Center at CHBC. Educators from Pre-K to Higher Ed can register online at RedeemED.

Aaron Project
The Aaron Project is a partner ministry for RedeemED. We want every educator who attends RedeemED to receive a personal prayer partner for the year. If you become an Aaron Project Prayer Partner you will receive a name and contact information for one of the registered educators. As a prayer partner you will receive a monthly reminder to pray for that educator. During the year you may want to reach out to them personally to seek prayer needs. If they express a need or request that you feel unable to meet, you should contact one of the pastors of the church, who will step in to figure out how to best address that need. You can register for the Aaron Project as a Prayer Partner through the CHBC website.

Portland, Oregon Mission Trip (July 27 – August 4)
Pastor Jason is leading a group of our students on the GO Trip to Portland, Oregon. Pray for their safety and effective witness for the gospel. Those attending the mission trip with Pastor Jason include: Cassie Miller, Kylie Scott, Parker Thornton, Jacob Thornton, and Gibson Moon.

OBHC Back to School Dinner – Join Us at The Table (July 29 at 5:30 PM)
Every year Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children has a fundraiser for the families and children who live on the OKC Campus and at Boys Ranch Town to help with school clothes and other necessities. This fund raiser is a banquet and auction at Embassy Suites in Norman. Tickets are generally $30 per person, but CHBC is hosting tables for $20 per person. If you would like to attend this banquet supporting OBHC please purchase a ticket at the Welcome Center.

CHBC Resource Center
Visit the CHBC Resource Center outside the Worship Center. There are three featured books: The ESV Study Bible; Systematic Theology, by Wayne Grudem; and The Valley of Vision, ed. by Arthur Bennett. Our featured books are for sale and are books that we believe every Christian home should own. There are also several free resources.

Scripture of the Month - July
Titus 2:11, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,”

During 2023 CHBC will be saying aloud verses from the book of Titus 2. CHBC quotes Scripture aloud during our morning worship gathering. This is done for two reasons. First, we are commanded in Scripture to encourage one another with the Word of God. Second, we want to emphasize the spiritual discipline of Scripture memory. The goal of 2023 is for you to be able to quote the entire second chapter of the Epistle to Titus. Pick up your Scripture Memory card packs at the Resource Center outside the middle doors of the Worship Center.

CHBC Connect for June 30th, 2023

What is God’s Vision for CHBC?

No church is founded upon anything other than the very Word of God. Jesus Christ said that He would build His church upon the confession of Him being the Christ, the Son of God. When sinners repent and claim Christ as Lord, they become part of the universal body of Christ. And they are intended to become part of the visible body of Christ, gathering with others who are professing Christ as Lord. Man did not come up with the idea of the church. The church is not founded upon men. The church is founded upon Christ and is built by him of men and women who gather to worship Him and fulfill His mission.

July 2 – Evening Worship at Little River Park from 5-7 PM
CHBC will hold evening services on July 2 at Little River Park in Moore. Enter from the south of the park and go to the playground and splash pad pavilions. We will worship together, serve hot dogs, and do outreach. We want our neighbors to see us being the church.
