CHBC Re-Gathering – July 19, 2020
The church is not a building people meet together in, but a people who gather to worship Jesus Christ as Lord.
Yet, the building is important! A building or a location for the people of God to gather is important. The church is not the building, but the people are meant to gather. While many are not able currently to gather publicly and corporately, we are grateful we still have a place to gather into. We look forward to gathering in person and online this Sunday. Please plan to RSVP, especially if you will be using ETC (Extended Teaching Care for 3 years and younger). The RSVP helps us be prepared for overflow seating, for children in ETC, and for seating in the Worship Center. Thank you for understanding the need to physically distance and to RSVP. VBS
We continue to pray and seek the Lord on how VBS can be within our neighborhoods near our location. Pray circumstances will allow us the opportunity to share Christ within our neighborhoods in these ways. Cheryl Ross, the Preschool and Children’s Ministry Director, is working very hard with her staff to provide locations for a Neighborhood VBS experience. An abbreviated schedule will be used. Aaron Project
Can you be an Aaron? Aaron in the Bible was known as a disciple that was always bringing people to Jesus. He was quiet, encouraging, and faithful. Today an Aaron is someone who volunteers to pray for one of our area educators. We all know the last school year ended with many challenges. We received many positive testimonies from teachers who had an Aaron praying for them and encouraging them to finish a hard year well. Sunday School
Re-Grouping is the next phase of our Re-Gathering plan, and I wish we knew for sure when and how that will occur. Sunday School is a vital ministry in the life of a local church. The spiritual growth, the community building, and the ministry care that occurs in small groups is essential to healthy church growth. Until we can meet please reach out to one another, keep telling your unbelieving friends about Christ, and use these materials for your own home group Sunday School.
