CHBC Re-Gathering – June 7, 2020
The church is not a building people meet together in, but a people who gather to worship Jesus Christ as Lord.
There are several exciting changes for the month of June as we progress in Re-Gathering. Please read those updates here: CHBC Re-Gathering Update. From there you will also be able to go to the link where you can RSVP for the English-speaking service and ETC needs on Sunday. Your RSVP is only for this Sunday, June 7. We will need to RSVP each week for services until we can Re-Gather without restrictions. You can go directly to the RSVP link here: RSVP for CHBC Re-Gathering.

Spend a moment in prayer thanking God for His sovereign rule over all of creation that helps us find hope and meaning in times of personal, national, and global crisis.
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.

Quotes from Church History
Jonathan Edwards on God: ““God is the highest good of the reasonable creature. The enjoyment of him is our proper; and is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here. Better than fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of any, or all earthly friends. These are but shadows; but the enjoyment of God is the substance. These are but scattered beams; but God is the sun. These are but streams; but God is the fountain. These are but drops, but God is the ocean.” – Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758, Pastor and Theologian)
