Why Does CHBC Exist? To Exalt Christ

Philippians 1:20, “according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. Christ exaltation is the ultimate aim for every Christian. We exalt Christ personally as we trust Christ as Savior, trust in His promises, and obey His commands. We exalt Christ corporately as we gather for praise, prayer, preaching, the practice of the ordinances, and in partnering together for the care of one another and advance of the gospel.

Scripture of the Month - January

Titus 2:1, “But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.”

During 2023 CHBC will be saying aloud verses from the book of Titus 2. CHBC quotes Scripture aloud during our morning worship gathering. This is done for two reasons. First, we are commanded in Scripture to encourage one another with the Word of God. Second, we want to emphasize the spiritual discipline of Scripture memory. The goal of 2023 is for you to be able to quote the entire second chapter of the Epistle to Titus.

Why Does CHBC Exist? To Equip Believers
Ephesians 4:11-12, “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;” CHBC has a list of KNOW-BE-DO’s which are essential doctrines, values, and behaviors, hanging on the walls throughout the buildings. We are committed to equipping each believer what is necessary to serve Christ and His church. Commit yourself to faithful attendance at CHBC and be equipped through the ministries of the church.
